Biography

I am an Australian Citizen who is a Quantum Physicist.

Scientific/Education Chronology:

• 2021 : Honorary Research Fellow in the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland.
• 2015-2020 : Senior Lecturer in Physics in the School of Mathematics and Physics at The University of Queensland.
• 2011-2015 : Australian Research Council 'Future Fellow' in the School of Mathematics and Physics at The University of Queensland.
• 2009-2011 : Associate Professor in the Physics Department at San Diego State University in San Diego, USA.
• 2009-2011 : Consultant for Spectral Associates, LLC, a company led by Peter Langhoff based at the San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California, San Diego.
• 2005-2009 : Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at San Diego State University in San Diego, USA.
• 2004-2005 : Short-term Research Fellow in the Jim Mitroy Group at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia.
• 2002-2004 : Research Associate in the Brett Esry Group at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas USA (the little apple).
• 1998-2003 : PhD in the Jim Mitroy Group at the then Northern Territory University in Darwin, Australia (since renamed Charles Darwin University). My thesis is available online.
• 1997 : First Class Honours - Optics research in the Ann Roberts Group at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
• 1995-1996 : ANU Summer Research Scholarship in Experimental Atomic Physics in the Steve Buckman Group at AMPL at the Australian National University - encouraged by Jim Mitroy.
• 1993-1995 : Bachelor of Science (Physics major, Computer Science/Mathematics Minors) at the then Northern Territory University in Darwin, Australia (since renamed Charles Darwin University).
• 1991-1992 : National Science Summer School ('Darwin' - Biology Stream) now the National Youth Science Forum sponsored by Rotary Club Darwin - encouraged by my chemistry teacher Anne Donnelly.
• 1991-1992 : Years 11-12 at Casuarina Secondary College, Darwin, Australia (since renamed Casuarina Senior College).
• 1988-1990 : Years 8-10 at Nightcliff High School, Darwin, Australia (since renamed Nightcliff Middle School).
• 1981-1987 : Years 1-7 at Ludmilla Primary School, Darwin, Australia.
• 1981 : Year 1 at Junction Park State School, Brisbane, Australia.
